O que aconteceu

Bidding in the Jio Platforms IPO closed on 23 October 2026. Allotment, when shares are assigned to applicants, is expected on Monday 26 October. Refunds and the credit of shares to demat accounts are due on 27 October, and listing on BSE and NSE on 28 October. All dates are tentative.

Por que importa para você

Demand was far above supply. Telegraph India reports 22.19 times subscription and 1.38 crore applications, which it calls the highest ever in the world. Retail was subscribed 2.72 times. In an oversubscribed book, not everyone gets the shares they asked for. That last point is our reading.

O que conferir e observar

Once allotment is published, search by PAN, application number or demat ID on the KFin Technologies page, NSE or BSE. The result stays empty until the registrar posts it. Treat every date as tentative. This is not advice.

What is allotment? Bidding is over, so the company and its registrar now decide who gets how many shares. The registrar here is KFin Technologies. Chittorgarh lists the basis of allotment for Monday 26 October 2026, refunds and share credit for Tuesday 27 October, and listing for Wednesday 28 October. It labels this schedule tentative. The Hindu also says the listing is expected on 28 October. Chittorgarh's allotment page still said no status was available when we looked, and its FAQ says the listing date is not yet announced. So treat the dates as expected, not final.

The numbers behind the wait. Telegraph India, on 24 October, reports bids of ₹7.4 lakh crore on the final day for a ₹30,213 crore issue (one lakh crore is one trillion rupees), which was subscribed 22.19 times. It reports 1.38 crore applications (about 13.8 million), the highest ever in the world, ahead of Chinese chipmaker CXMT's IPO at around 9.4 million accounts. Retail bids were nearly ₹26,000 crore, 2.72 times the retail portion. The Hindu says the issue was fully subscribed in 100 minutes on the first day, and that 212 anchor investors took shares worth ₹8,109.85 crore. Earlier snapshots differ: The Hindu on 23 October said over 20.5 times, and Chittorgarh showed 21.36 times at 7:28 PM that day. Final figures come from the exchanges.

Why it is a record. Before bidding opened, Rediff (citing PTI) wrote that a ₹30,213 crore issue would be India's largest-ever public issue, ahead of Hyundai Motor India's ₹27,870 crore in 2024. The Hindu puts the size at $3.2 billion.

What retail applicants should know. The price band is ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 and one lot is 12 shares. At the upper price, the minimum retail bid is ₹13,428 and the maximum is 14 lots, or ₹1,87,992, per Chittorgarh. With retail subscribed about 2.7 times, shares asked for were well above shares on offer, so many retail applicants may receive fewer shares than they bid for, or none. The sources do not describe how shares are divided, so that is our inference.

How to check. On the KFin Technologies page (ipostatus.kfintech.com), choose Jio Platforms Ltd and enter your application number, PAN or demat account number. NSE and BSE have their own bid and application status pages, per Mint. On NSE, choose the symbol JPL. Chittorgarh's checker takes a PAN, application number or DP Client ID. Nothing shows until allotment is published online.

What we do not cover. We do not give grey market figures or listing price guesses, and this is not advice to buy or sell. Check the exchange notices on 26 to 28 October for the final timetable.
