发生了什么
BMW said it now expects an automotive EBIT margin of -0.5% to +0.5% in 2026, down from 1-3%. Car deliveries will now fall moderately, not slightly. The reason: the company is widening its restructuring and booking more costs for it.

What happened. On November 3 at 19:30 Munich time BMW issued a mandatory ad hoc notice to investors. The Board of Management changed its 2026 outlook.
The numbers. Automotive EBIT margin: -0.5% to +0.5%, down from 1-3%. Before portfolio and structural measures, BMW still expects a margin above 2%. Automotive return on capital employed (RoCE): -1% to +1%, down from 1-5%. BMW still expects automotive free cash flow above €2.5 billion.
Sales. Car deliveries in 2026 are now expected to fall moderately from last year (before: a slight decrease). Motorcycle deliveries should fall slightly (before: flat). The share of fully electric cars in deliveries should rise slightly.
Why. BMW says the restructuring it set out at its 2026 Capital Market Day has started well, and the board decided to expand and intensify the measures. Reuters reports that cuts to management functions will happen faster than announced.
What it means for you. If you hold BMW shares or German market funds, expect moves on November 4 when the quarterly statement comes out. Part of the cut comes from one-off restructuring costs. This is an overview, not advice.
