What happened

Strive (Nasdaq: ASST) reported third quarter results on November 6. From October 1 to 30 it bought 15,124 bitcoin. In the third quarter it bought 8,136 BTC, and 20,373 BTC over nine months. Net income for the quarter was $509 million, mostly from paper gains on bitcoin.

Why it matters to you

Companies that stack bitcoin on their balance sheet have become big buyers in the market. Strive bought almost twice as much in one month as in the whole previous quarter, and it funds this with preferred shares paying 15% a year. That is expensive money, and the bitcoin price decides how easily the company can pay it.

What to check and watch

Watch how much of the $609 million from October's offering goes into bitcoin: the company did not say. And watch ASST: per Cointelegraph the stock fell 32% over the past month. This is an overview, not advice.

What happened. Dallas-based Strive published its third quarter 2026 results. It says it bought 15,124 BTC from October 1 to 30. In the third quarter (July to September) it bought 8,136 BTC, and 20,373 BTC over the first nine months of the year.

How much it holds now. Cointelegraph, citing the report, says Strive held 43,124 BTC as of October 30. Per BitcoinTreasuries.NET that is fourth place among public companies. It trails third place Twenty One Capital by 390 BTC. To pass second place Metaplanet, with 44,000 BTC, it needs another 877 BTC, if neither of them buys more.

Where the profit comes from. GAAP net income for the quarter was $509 million. Per Cointelegraph, $533.7 million came from unrealized bitcoin gains. That is profit on paper: if the price falls, the next quarter shows a loss on the same line.

Where the money comes from. On October 20 Strive closed an offering of 7,000,000 SATS preferred shares for about $609 million in net proceeds. These shares pay 15% a year. As of October 30 the company had $490.4 million in cash and equivalents, plus Strategy preferred shares (STRC) worth $50.1 million.

What is next. The report says the company is looking at using its balance sheet in banking, brokerage, DeFi, reinsurance and tokenization. There are no concrete plans or dates.

The stock. Per Cointelegraph, ASST fell 1.97% to $20.19 in early trading on Friday and is down 32.15% over the past month.
